Continue ReadingIf your kids aren’t just listening, but are also learning and creating with their devices in such a way that requires them to speak, they will need headphones that can do the complete job. But you’ll still want to protect their young ears from loud volumes.

Continue ReadingThe Tracks Air headphones bring the technology of Motorola together with the style and sound of Sol Republic for a great pair of wireless headphones. Paired via Bluetooth with your phone, the Tracks Air deliver clear sound with distinct highs and reasonable bass. The built in microphones allow you to take phone calls on the Air Tracks. They even support NFC for easy pairing with your phone.
Continue ReadingI’ve just spent the last eight days traveling with the wife and kids, and one of the few constants of our travels is bringing along the iPads, a couple of phones, and a laptop for work. And chargers. Argh. Chargers left and right, all different types for a mix of devices.
In the car, the boys are playing mostly pew-pew games and all of them with really annoying music when they’re not watching a DVD movie on the fold-down screen in back. When it’s not my turn to drive, I’m usually watching a movie on my laptop or listening to my music on my phone. As you can imagine, the noise level in the car (and the hotel room) can get a little crazy at times. For this recent holiday travel period, I instituted a headphones-only travel rule.
Continue ReadingI’m a fan of Meze Headphones, indeed a very big fan ever since Antonio Meze contacted us two-and-a-half years ago asking if we’d like to test his new line of high-quality and high-design headphones. Antonio has sent me four different sets now, and each one has been a winner, but the most recent are my favorite.

Continue ReadingLike many of you, I work at a desk eight hours a day. This means that I have to keep a keen eye on my activity level for the good of my overall health and wellbeing. I try to walk to meetings whenever it’s feasible and take the stairs instead of the elevator, but my real exercise takes place outside of business hours – and nothing motivates me to move more than enjoying a little music.

Continue ReadingI’ve had an iHome combination speaker bar/dock since I adopted my first iPhone, so when I was asked to take a look at some of their newer wares I was happy to oblige.
Continue ReadingI am not, generally speaking, a vanity electronics kind of guy. I have thus been able to avoid the siren’s call of the now ubiquitous Beats by Dre headphones. However, when SMS Audio contacted me about a special version of their STREET by 50 line – rapper 50 Cent’s own take on high-performance, fashion-forward headphones – released with Star Wars fans in mind, I had to take a listen.
Continue ReadingHeadphones get a lot of use in my household. I’ve worn a few out over the years, and a few others have died prematurely due to poor construction. Some have been tossed due to low budget sound or an uncomfortable fit… or both. I’m not an audiophile by any means, but I know what I like when it comes to listening to my music and playing my games. It’s no secret that I’m a BIG fan of MEElectronics sound equipment, and I’ve reviewed a few of their products in the past. So when I read that their new Atlas Headphone was given a Best of CES 2014 award, I had to hear them for myself.

Continue ReadingIt is difficult for me to find earbuds that work in my ears. Most fall out because my ears are so tiny. For example, the standard iPod buds don’t even fit in my ears at all. I have used my kids earbuds in the past because they came with an extra small bud tip. But I can’t use my kids earbuds on a continual basis. The Moshi earbuds are the first earbuds I have found that actually stay in my ears.

The bright colors and adorable animal theme makes them fun for the kids. The volume-limiting sound and reasonable price will make it fun for the parents to buy for the kids.

Continue ReadingI heard about the LG Tone through a friend at work who said it was the best pair of headphones they’d ever owned. I’ve tried out more than my fair share of headphones and while most have worked out, none of them really made me go wow! I had a hard time believing that these would, so when LG sent them to me, I put them through the paces and then some.
Continue ReadingI’ve long been a fan of surround sound headphones for gaming. Over the last few years I have used a variety of headphones, but I think the best I’ve used so far are the Turtle Beach: Earforce Tango.
