Magic, Monsters and Predacons: A Halloween DVD Viewing Guide

Like any good nerd, what is a single night of revelry for regular folks — Halloween — is a month-long event for me. In addition to a slow roll-out of decorations and the laborious task of cobbling together the perfect costumes for me and my brood, the seasonal merrymaking also includes weekly viewing of especially spooky programming. Of course, now that my kids are old enough to want to participate I’ve had to dial back the gore.

Ben 10 — An Interview with Yuri Lowenthal

I said it once and I’ll say it again…Ben 10: Ominverse is pure awesomeness and this Saturday we get to meet a brand new alien in Ben’s arsenal. This episode centers around the omnitrix and Ben’s lack of being able to fight without it (do you see where I’m going with this?). The inevitable happens and Ben is forced to fight without the help of alien tech. The episode has the usually humor, banter and lesson that both Rook and Ben must learn in the end.

I was given the opportunity to speak with the voice of Ben Tennyson, Yuri Lowenthal about his role on the series and his career so far. On top of being on Ben 10, he’s also been on some of my favorite shows including Young Justice (La’gaan / Lagoon Boy / Cameron Mahkent), Legion of Super Heroes (Superman / Kell-El / Senator Tolay) and Wolverine and the X-Men (Iceman, Bobby Drake).

The Looney Tunes Show Season 2

The Looney Tunes Show season 2 premiered last night and since I haven’t seen Bugs and Daffy on T.V since Tiny Toon Adventures was on in the 90’s, I was interested to see how they have changed since then. Right off the back I noticed their physical appearance had changed a little and their backgrounds had changed a lot.
