Terrible pun aside, littleBits has a competition open for owners of their new Droid Inventor Kit. The deadline to enter is January 31, 2018. The rules state that you must be over 13 and not use more than $1000 in equipment other than the Droid Inventor Kit when making your droid.
Judging for the competition is based on fairly simple criteria: creative use of materials, inventiveness, and video presentation. The judges, however, are incredible! The President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, actors Daisy Ridley (Rey) and Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), and littleBits founder and CEO Ayah Bdeir will be selecting the winners.
The prizes aren’t bad either: you could win a trip to Lucasfilm in San Francisco, a signed R2-D2 replica, or a $200 Disney shopping spree!
Excited and ready to get building? There are two categories for entries: Padawan Learner for those eager to do simple modifications to their droids (party hat anyone?!) and Jedi Master for the expert builders out there in the galaxy (such as adults). Entries for both categories are shown on the site, meaning your droid may be featured no matter who wins!
