Two big projects recently came to fruition at the office, of course with final submission on the same afternoon – getting finished printed copies of the submissions required the power of the WorkForce Pro ET-8700. Both projects called for multiple copies of full-color presentations that needed to be assembled and prepared for the client (one of them needed to be shipped ahead of the presentation the next week). The WorkForce Pro ET-8700 offers ultra-fast cartridge-free printing and includes up to two years of ink in the box (that’s up to 16,000 pages black/11,000 color if you’re into the numbers). Instead of expensive printer cartridges, the ET-8700 uses four DuraBrite Ultra ink packs that can save users up to 80 percent on ink versus color laser. The laser-quality black text and color graphics are powered by the PrecisionCore system to deliver increased speed and unbeatable image quality. Printing at 24 pages per minute (PPM) in either black or color, the ET-8700 has both a huge 250-sheet paper capacity, and an 80-sheet rear tray and even an optional 500-sheet tray. Not only did the ET-8700 get all of the necessary copies printed quickly (with plenty of time to get out for overnight delivery) but it all happened without stopping for ink refills – something that used to put a hard stop in production that also required reprinting at least one copy and recalibrating the printer.

A business-scale printer needs business-scale connectivity and the ET-8700 provides it with Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct 4 and NFC5. It is also a true multi-function device — the printer, copier, scanner and facsimile functions on the WorkForce Pro can be accessed through the large 4.3″ color touchscreen (or through a connected device of course).
