Thoughts and Recommendation

The BenQ Zowie RL2755T is a big, beautiful gaming monitor which makes using my PS4 on a standard television irrelevant. Yes, a 55-inch 4k HD display sounds like a superior choice, but once I fired up Spider-Man on PS4 on the Zowie, quality quickly trumped quantity. The color depth and clarity of the image blew me away. An already amazing looking came became sublime on the RL2755T. Spider-Man is an incredibly fast-moving and demanding game from an imagery standpoint, and this monitor handled it with smooth precision and lightning response.

Physically the RL2755T has a nice thin black bezel that surrounds it with the buttons on the lower right side. The menu system is simple and well thought out. You do not have to hit many buttons and travel endless submenus to set up your image. Out of the box, the image is already beautiful and solid, and I look forward to tweaking it further.

Inputs include D-sub/DVI/HDMIx2/headphone jack/line-in, so you have a lot of choices to work with. I have mine set up with my PS4 as my primary source and my computer extended as the second choice, which works great. Though the RL2755T came with a great stand, I decided to use the Vesa mount to connect to my Blank dual monitor stand. This was done quick and easy, and I had the entire unit set up in less than 5 minutes.

There are a few things missing, though. This monitor tops out at 60hz, which, if you are using it for PS4 gaming, is all you need, since that is as far as the standard PS4 goes. There is also no HDR, which does hurt, but the RL2755T does an amazing job handling black depth even without it.

I have played PS4 on a wide array of screens and projectors, and the RL2755T is by far the best experience I have ever had using my console. BenQ does offer 144hz monitors if PC Esports is your forte. As I mentioned earlier, this monitor makes it difficult to go back to gaming on standard televisions again. So if you love your PS4 and your PC gaming and want an amazing monitor that can handle both choices, the BenQ Zowie RL2755T is definitely worth your time and money.

You can purchase the BenQ Zowie RL2755T  for $249.00.
