Coming off the success of their recent Star Wars pinball machine, Chicago-based Stern Pinball once again looks to fictional galaxies for a real-world hit with Guardians of the Galaxy.
The video teaser for the game is sly in what feature highlights it reveals, but as can be expected, fans will get their fair share of Star Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Yondu, Drax, and, of course, Groot. The announcement of GOTG is a welcome announcement, but comes as little surprise to hardcore fans of Stern Pinball who have a history of banking on the success of big-name licensed properties including several from Marvel such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Avengers.
An official release date has yet to be announced, but there is anticipation that Stern will be debuting the new machine at the upcoming International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) tradeshow, held in Orlando November 14-17,2017. This intrepid GeekDad writer will be on hand to hopefully bring you gameplay coverage of the new machine. Until then, you’ll have to speculate with the rest of us and make due with the teaser video below.
