Prithee! Forsooth! I really tried to write this post in iambic pentameter. I really and truly did. Alas, ’twas not meant to be.
This week, though, we welcome Ian Doescher, author of the excellent and magnificent (yep, they’re both) Shakespeare’s Star Wars books, to the show.
We chat about how he first made the connection between Shakespeare and the Star Wars saga, his background with Shakespeare, and how he made all six films work so perfectly well in verse.
We also talk a bit about the absolutely phenomenal art in the books. I mean, come on, just behold this beauty….
It’s also time to announce the winner of our contest! We didn’t think this through, and I only just now realize that I don’t know how to contact someone from just an iTunes username. However, if you’re xoxdanielle18, then congratulations! You’ve won a copy of The Phantom of Menace! Shoot me an email (beneath my signature at the bottom of the page), and I’ll get the book sent out to you.
Thanks for listening!
O, vile!
These tauntauns have an awful stench outside,
But nothing did I know of wretchedness,
Disgusting rot, and sick’ning filth till this
New smell hath made attack upon my nose.
