Gameroom Junkies episode 50 - Billy Mitchell, Tron 3
Gameroom Junkies is a podcast about game rooms and the games inside.

Welcome to Gameroom Junkies, a podcast that invites fans of video games, pinball machines, classic arcades and more to celebrate the games of the past and enjoy them with their families in the present. Whether or not you have a home game room or just miss the arcades from the ’80s, we offer interesting topics for all types of game geeks to enjoy.

Although we’re the newest kids on the GeekDad Podcast Network, we’ve been releasing a monthly podcast since 2010 and have spent that time talking about everything from classic arcade games, pinball machines, and video game consoles, to game repair and restoration, and home decor. On our website we regularly showcase interesting game rooms all across the U.S. and talk about the latest news. Our podcast allows us the opportunity to interview some great guests including game designers, authors, filmmakers, media personalities, and even regular game room collectors like you. Basically, we’re just two guys who grew up in the arcades, but never imagined today we would have the games we loved as kids in our basements. We’re living our dream, and want you along for the ride.

This month on Gameroom Junkies, we take some extra time to celebrate our milestone 50th episode and addition to the GeekDad Podcast Network with a wide range of news, topics, and guest interviews. First off we discuss games in the news including the upcoming movies Tron 3 and Adam Sandler’s Pixels. We interview the star of the movie King of Kong and video game player of the century Billy Mitchell to ask “what would Billy do?” Preston talks to console expert Bryan about the best console games for families to enjoy together, we answer viewer mail, and give our suggestions for a ’50s game room theme.
