GeekDad’s Pokémon XY Flashfire Giveaway

This week we Americans will observe our nation’s independence, and July 4th is nigh synonymous with fireworks. That’s why this seemed like the perfect time to kick off the latest amazing GeekDad giveaway. In honor of our upcoming festive pyrotechnics and to celebrate the Pokémon CCG‘s latest expansion, we’ll be giving away a fantastic XY Flashfire prize pack to two lucky winners.

Included in this prize pack is the fire/electric theme deck “Brilliant Thunder” – featuring an exclusive holofoil Heliolisk – as well as the psychic/water “Mystic Typhoon” deck – boasting a special Meowstic print (in both regular and holofoil forms.) While my family has found these base decks to be pretty formidable on their own, with my son using a Meowstic and Duskull combo to spam my bench with damage counters while I employ Heliolisk’s Parabolic Charge and the Blacksmith trainer to continually search out and recycle energy cards, our winners will also receive an XY Flashfire booster box. The contents of the booster box are, of course, randomized, but I will say that ours included both the new Mega Kangaskhan-EX and Mega Charizard-EX cards, the latter of which has the highest base attack damage of any tournament-legal Pokémon.

Whether you and yours are old hands at the game or are just beginning to experience what the Pokémon CCG has to offer, this prize pack has everything you need to ge the most out of this latest expansion. To enter, simply fill out the form below before 11:59 PM Eastern on Sunday, July 6th. Don’t forget to include all relevant contact information as well as your answer to the question “What’s your favorite card in the Pokémon CCG?”
