The Art of Bad Robot

Geek Culture Places

RichKnepprath_BadRobot_large_660pxBad Robot, the production company headed by J.J. Abrams, has created many popular TV shows and films in recent years, and now the company has inspired an art exhibit. The company is responsible for Lost, Alias, Fringe, Super 8, Cloverfield, Revolution, the reboot of the Star Trek franchise, and soon the next installment of the Star Wars saga, almost all of which are represented in the many works on display.

Los Angeles art gallery Gallery1988 is hosting The Official Bad Robot Art Experience, an exhibit of work by over 100 artists, all inspired by the films and TV shows of J.J. Abrams. The Gallery, at 7308 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, is open from 11:00 to 6:00 Wednesday through Sunday, and the exhibit, which opened Friday, will be on display until May 18. You can also see the work online and even buy it if something catches your fancy.
