Step 6
Once Join Together has done it’s thing, it’s time to put the finishing touches to the file, which should now appear back in your iTunes Library. First up, go back to your original playlist or the actual CD in the Devices area and choose View > View Options… (Apple-J). Now switch off all the check boxes, this will leave you with just the Track Name tags.
Select all and copy, then go back to your newly joined file and choose File > Get Info (Apple-I). Pick the Lyrics tab and paste the names in there. This will give a quick reference to names/artists for the disc and also enable them to appear in a smart playlist search.
Occasionally, some of the tags don’t make the transition back to iTunes, so just fill them back in if they didn’t.
