With the World Cup taking place in the United States and other North American countries, soccer seems to be more popular than usual. UGREEN, a company whose products my family use regularly, has just released their latest air tracker which is shaped like a tiny soccer ball. I had the opportunity to test one out so here are my thoughts on this device.
What Is the FineTrack 2 Smart Finder?
The FineTrack 2 is an air tracker similar to Apple’s AirTags. It only works with Apple’s iOS and Apple Find My app. It is very easy to setup and connect to your Apple device. The tracker has a hidden button. Just press the pentagon panel with UGREEN printed on it for 2 seconds to turn on the product. Then go to your iOS device, turn on Bluetooth, and then open the Find My app while the FineTrack 2 is near the device. Within the app, select ‘Objects’ and then ‘Add Object’. Since it is not an Apple product, select ‘Other supported object’ and then click ‘Connect’. Now you can name the tracker whatever you want.
Once it is connected to your Apple account, you can share it with others such as your family to they can also track the FineTrack 2 as well. When using the Fine My app, the FineTrack 2’s location will show up on a map though the precise location is not available. You can have it play a sound to help you locate it. Also, you can set up a notification when it is left behind and even setup exceptions such as your home. The device is powered by a sealed, internal battery and has an IP68 waterproof rating which means it can be submerged up to 1 meter deep in water for 60 seconds. The battery has a lifespan of up to 7 years.
The FineTrack 2 weighs only 20 grams and is just 34 mm or 1.3 inches in diameter, allowing it to easily fit into a bag or other item you want to track. It includes 2 small lanyards as well. The tracker normally sells for $19.99, but is currently on sale for only $14.99 at the UGREEN Store on Amazon. During Prime Days, it will be further discounted down to $13.99.

I have been very impressed by all of the UGREEN products I have used. I recently reviewed their Nexode Air fast chargers and MagFlow Air power bank and am currently using them.
