Bodaciously Awesome Family Show: Strange Snacks From Around the (Disney) World

BAFS Podcasts

Last week we asked the question “Is EPCOT for kids?”. This week we wanted to take you on a different tour of the park. EPCOT is a place where you can “eat around the world.” Usually that is in reference to the amazing restaurants or as part of the Food and Wine Festival every fall. We took a… unique view on that concept.

One thing that has always fascinated me about EPCOT is the snack food in the pavilions. Not the typical Disney-fare, but the very country-specific items you find in the gift shops. The things that have no words in English so you are taking a guess at what is truly inside. It’s like a cross between Fear Factor and Treasure Hunt when you buy them.

Thus, this episode was born. We walked around and purchased random snack food. Then, ate them while recording the podcast. Some were good, while others were… well, everything was going well until we got to the dried squid.
