Here’s a fun one for the holidays: exquisite, intricate laser-cut wooden mechanical toy kits (and when we say ‘toy’ these really fall into the realm of automatons). Our sponsor, UGEARS, has run a series of successful Kickstarter campaigns for their exciting designs, and this time around they’re focusing on some really amazing toys for Christmas.
Made of sustainable, eco-friendly wood, each UGEARS model assembles easily and without the need for glue or special tools thanks to our patented plywood joints. And instead of a simple static display, each model is capable of a unique and fascinating range of self-powered movements, all without batteries.
Check out these kits, which are just a small part of the large selection they’re offering, with prices starting as low as $19:
If these seem like perfect stocking-stuffers for the tinkerer in your family, check out the Kickstarter now and get your kits ordered early!
