Transformers Roll Out

For a guy who’s made nerdy music his thing for the better part of a decade now, finding new songs about the Transformers is far from unheard-of. But an album actual sanctioned by Hasbro? Now, that’s something new!

Yes, Hasbro Studios has announced its first-ever album inspired by the Transformers franchise, Transformers Roll Out.

It’s available for digital pre-order right now, with the title single “Roll Out” by blues-rockers Mount Holly and Crash Kings‘ “Gigantik” available for immediate purchase and on streaming services. The full digital album will drop on April 15th, with a limited edition CD and vinyl LP being offered exclusively through FYE.

With an eclectic lineup ranging from fresh new acts to more established fare–’90s alterna-rockers Bush contribute the track “This House is on Fire”–Transformers Roll Out looks to be a fitting tribute to one of Hasbro’s most enduring properties. My only complaint? The glaring lack of this 1986 Stan Bush classic!
