Welcome to Oregon. Walk past the Mystery Shack, avoid the riff-raff at Dusk 2 Dawn, and sidle on up to your good pals Dipper and Mabel as they match wits with Bill Cipher and work to avoid all-out chaos.

That’s right. This week on the show, we’re joined by series creator Alex Hirsch to chat about Gravity Falls, conspiracy theories, fan theories, and the epic Weirdmageddon event that closes out Season 2 of the show.

For a preview of the most recent episode, check out my previous post here.

We also talk about working in the animation industry, the storytelling possibilities that the show’s success made available, and sticking to the plan — in other words, knowing when the story (and the show) is over.

Finally, we probe and ask Alex about the DuckTales reboot. A little industry-insider birdie may have told us that Alex was officially unofficially attached to the show, which is currently trapped in development hell. (However, I should note that that same industry-insider birdie also mentioned that Alex may no longer be involved with those ducks down in Duckburg.)

So? Does Alex confirm or deny his involvement with rebooting the racecars, lasers, and aeroplanes? It’s a duck-blur!
