ABC Disgusting

Greg Pak is back on Kickstarter with a new book for kids: ABC Disgusting. Pak’s last project was a book based on Jonathan Coulton’s song “The Princess Who Saved Herself,” and it was just delivered recently. I backed the project, and my kids and I enjoyed the book (especially the snake).

Pak put together the same team for his picture book: art by Takeshi Miyazawa, colors by Jessica Kholinne, and lettering by Simon Bowland.

It’s an alphabet book about a little boy who’s trying to gross out his older sister. “L is for Lamprey,” “S is for Slime,” and so on. And we’ve been promised lots of flatulence. According to the Kickstarter page, there’s a surprise at the end from the big sister, but we’ll have to wait to find out what it is. I showed my kids the Kickstarter page and they’re excited about it, because what could be better than fart humor, right?

A digital version of the book will be available for a $10 pledge, and physical copies start at $20. (Other reward levels include a whoopie cushion or copies of Pak’s earlier books.)
