‘The Princess Who Saved Herself’: Now a Picture Book!

The Princess Who Saved Herself

A couple years ago, comics writer Greg Pak and nerd-musician Jonathan Coulton teamed up to make a graphic novel Code Monkey Save World. It went bananas, as you’d probably expect, and one of the stretch goals was a picture book based on another Coulton song, “The Princess Who Saved Herself.”

Well, the graphic novel and the picture book have been finished and delivered, but the picture book was only in a digital format. Pak and Coulton are back with another Kickstarter campaign to print physical copies of The Princess Who Saved Herself, written by Pak, illustrated by Takeshi Miyazawa, colored by Jessica Kholinne, and lettered by Simon Bowman.

I heard about the project through an interview with Pak on Nerds of Color, and immediately pledged for a copy. The project funded in six hours and has about two more weeks to go. You can also get a copy of Code Monkey Save World if you missed out the first time around, plus (of course) a digital download of the song itself.
