We’re only a few weeks out from the release of Pixar’s newest film, Inside Out, but that’s not stopping them from teasing us with their next film. The first teaser for The Good Dinosaur, which is scheduled for a November 25 release, dropped today.
(As a quick aside, I need to mention that the biggest tease at last weekend’s Book Expo America was this Art of The Good Dinosaur book on display. Why a tease? It was blank inside.)
This is just a teaser, so don’t expect a ton of plot exposition…or any dialogue at all. But we do finally get clarification for how the official premise is possible:
After a traumatic event unsettles a lively Apatosaurus named Arlo, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way — a human boy.
Throughout production, The Good Dinosaur has been plagued by development problems, and its release was delayed more than a year. It even lost its director, producer, and composer at various points.
So far, it looks promising. But let’s not forget Inside Out, which releases on June 19. (I’ve seen it; it’s pretty great.)
