  1. I want to see the games in action. Reading the book was amazing, but I felt there was so much lushness that I want to see what’s going on, not just picture it in my head.

In some ways, you could tell Collins is a scriptwriter – there was a tightness to the action that fits well with being seen through a camera’s lens.

  2. I read and loved the series. As I read them I couldn’t help but think that it was destined for the big screen.

  3. I have been looking forward to the screen adaptation ever since I read the first book of the Hunger Games. It’s a neat premise, and one that really hasn’t been attempted before. Can’t wait.

  4. I’m looking forward to the movie because I absolutely loved the books! I can’t wait to see it on the big screen!

  5. I am looking forward to this movie because for once a novel that is geared towards the teen age group, will be enjoyed by not only both sexes but of different ages. I mean, I love me some Twilight, but it was geared towards mostly women. Im excited to be able to see this with my fiancee and we will both enjoy it

  6. Well, I had never heard of the books until a friend began raving about how excited she was that they were going to be turned into a movie.

Now that I’ve heard of it I’m pretty darned excited. Probably net the best choice for a winner, but I wouldn’t complain if you gave it to me.

  7. I’m excited for “The Hunger Games” because it’s finally a movie my wife and I are both excited for . . . usually one of us tolerates each other’s cinematic preferences.

  8. I am looking forward to the movie because I always enjoy seeing books come to life on the big screen. I also enjoy the opportunity to discuss the themes of the book with more people as undoubtedly more people will see the movie that haven’t read the books.

  9. I just recently read the first of the Trilogy and I couldn’t put it down. I am excited to see the screen adaption, I hope they stay true to the book!

  10. I am excited to see the hunger games because ever since my daughter made me read the book, we have both fallen in love with the world that is the hunger games! She can relate to some characters and just really loves the book.

  11. Looking forward to the movie because it’s a rare blockbuster movie that my wife and I will agree on wanting to see.

  12. The reason I’m looking forward to the movie is because seeing how the books are absolutely amazing, i have really high hopes for the movie and i highly doubt I will be disappointed. The books are so awesome, I will probably read them a thousand more times until they fall apart…and then buy them again. I cannot get tired of this series, and the fact that they actually made a movie? I cannot be any happier than I already am. (:

    ♥Cathy

  13. Although I did enjoy the books, I am most looking forward to the movie coming out because my daughter will stop her hourly movie countdown.

  14. I am so looking forward to Hunger Games because of the thrill of the games! I’m sure I’ll be freaking out my own geeky self and squealing everytime Peeta is on the screen. And yes, I am NOT a 14 year old girl, even If I do sound like one! 🙂

  15. I am so excited to see the games. I hope they aren’t as gruesome as I’ve been picturing…

  16. I am looking forward to The Hunger Games because there is so much action and romance in the books and I am dying to see how it comes together on the big screen:) I am obsessed with the series and can not wait to see it come to life!

  17. Haven’t read the books, but I want to now. I’m looking forward to the movie because of the trailer.

  18. I’m looking forward to the movie because I absolutely loved the series and can’t wait to see how they adapted it for the big screen.

  19. I’m looking forward to the movie because after I read the Hunger Games, I could not stop thinking about it. I want to see what it’s like for it to be on the big screen, starring so many wonderful actors and the best part is I can basically see all the excitement and how different the movie is from the book.

  20. I’m looking forward to the movie, because I am absolutely in love with the books. I think the actors who are chosen are perfect for this cast and that just by watching the trailer, I already know this is going to be one of the best movies of 2012. Also, I can’t wait to see all the dramatic and moving scenes of the book being brought to life. 🙂

  21. Hubby and I watched the trailer together a while back (which looks *ahhh-mazing*!), and that inspired hubby to the book. He’s enjoyed it with such enthusiasm, it has made me want to get in on the fun, too! 😉 So today, he bought me the first book and challenged me to read it before the movie premieres in 10 days! Ahhhh! 🙂

  22. The Hunger Games books won my heart last year. Dystopia, social criticism, female hero.

And then they add Stanley Tucci to the movie version? AWESOME.

  23. I’m most looking forward to just seeing how it all plays out, because some of that stuff is just crazy (tracker jackers, mutts, Mockingjays, etc.) and I just want to see how it all fits together, you know? Oh yeah, and Cinna & Haymitch, I hope we get to see a good bit of them, they rock!
Anyway, it’s going to be so amazing! I can’t wait!

  24. I’m looking forward to see The Hunger Games because I really cannot see enough of books or movies that show women and girls in a self-empowered role. I can’t wait for my daughter to be old enough to read it and keep believing that she can do ANYTHING she wants!

  25. Firstly, thank you so much for giveaway pack. It’s a great gesture and a great way to promote an excellent book (and series).

My fiancé and I read the first book together. It’s not often that a book so catches my emotions that I cry, especially in front of the lady, but this book challenged any toughness I had.
The movie adaptation is extremely exciting an I’m really looking forward to see how well-toned the film is. The thing I think Suzanne Collins did the absolute best was carry the mood of the environment and the entire world, all through the perspective of a single girl. I’m extremely interested to see if this carries over to the film

A small side challenge is to see how they handle Roo’s character, easily my favorite. Can they make me cry???

  26. I am looking forward to the Unger Games because I absolutely LOVED the series. I thought that they were amazing!

  27. I devoured the series in a number of days and cannot wait to see a series featuring a strong female character on the big screen (and put that Twilight crap to shame).

  28. I read all three books in matter of a week because the story was so captivating. From the looks of the trailers, the film appears to be very true to the source, so I can’t wait to see exciting tale on the big screen!

  29. The Hunger Games trilogy was the first set of books I’d devoured that quickly since I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 4 hours after the midnight release. Thankfully, I had an understanding husband that, when presented with HG after a marathon reading session, took the book away from his wild-eyed wife and went to the library to get Catching Fire and, after that, Mockingjay. I was so engrossed with the books that I forgot to eat dinner. To say that I’m a bit excited for this movie is an understatement — I’m even planning to knit a pair of Mockingjay socks! 🙂

  30. Word are powerful enough on their own to awaken emotions in us we never knew we possessed yet motion pictures can convey something even the most powerful words can not. Being able to see this trilogy come to life will allow us to further relate and love Suzanne Collins for sharing her brilliantly crafted story.

  31. I’m looking forward to seeing how the film will illustrate the idea of standing up for what you believe in and protecting those who you care for, which is a great message to teens, kids, and even adults. It’s going to be great to see how Katniss and Peeta’s relationship evolves and the great special effects

  32. I have read the series 6 times already (The first time I read them I could not put the books down, so I ended up spending like 3 days doing nothing but reading the books!!! Lol.) and I am working on reading it for the 7th time! You can say I’m a little obsessed with the hunger games. lol. I am so looking forward to seeing the movie!!! Katniss is my role model, shes brave, kind, loving, independent and SOO much more. I can’t wait to see her on the big screen! Lol. I’ve been trying to learn how to do her signature braid lol so I can wear it to the theaters, I’m planning on dressing up like Katniss. Lol. I’m even planning on learning how to do archery.(It’s wicked cool) Lol. Not to mention the fact that I love Peeta, and CAN NOT WAIT to see him come to life in the movie (Josh Hutcherson is SOOOO cute! Lol.) People don’t even understand how excited and addicted I am to the book and the characters! I LOVE Katniss and Peeta AND RUE(RIP). I’m always talking about the hunger games(And i’m pretty sure my friends and family are sick of me talking about it and they prob just ignore me when I’m talking! Lol.) I could talk about the Hunger Games ALL DAY! IM SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN’T HIDE IT, I’M ABOUT TO LOSE CONTROL AND I THINK I LIKE IT! WOO HOO 7 DAYS, 7 HOURS, 7 MINUTES UNTIL THE HUNGER GAMES!

  33. I’m very curious to see how they force that great story into a 142min movie without losing integrity of the story.

  34. It’s difficult to pick out just one or two things which explain why I’m looking forward to seeing the film. I’ve been following the behind the scenes stuff for a while and affter hearing some of the score and seeing the acting I’m hoping to get the full emotional scale/ impact of the events that take place which so many films are lacking these days. The scenery should also be something to contend with. While I had a rough picture in my mind of how each district and the capitol might look to see it full out on the big screen should be fantastic. Everything mixed together if done well/properly should make a wonderful film and I’m looking forward to seeing it, especially since I loved the first book so much. I know they took alot of care to please the fans and keep true to the story and I appreciate that.

  35. I read the first book with my high school special ed class. The kids were SO into it and I was SO relieved to see them interested in something that showed the strength girls *really* have. It was great to see my girls looking up to someone other than sad little Bella and her sparkly boyfriend.

…not to mention that I loved the book so much, I took it home and read ahead and finished all three in record time!

It will be interesting to see how the movie goes… I really hope it’s just like the book! It’s great to see something out there that gets girls excited and proud to be girls again!

  37. I’m really excited about the movie because its great great how the words of the story are getting a chance to come to life!

  38. I could not put the books down!!!! Honestly I finished all the books in 3 days because I stayed up all night to finish mockingjay!! Suzanne Collins made the unique story come to life on paper and now it’s going to be on the Big screen!!!!! I literally cannot wait for the movie!!!!! She is by far my favorite author and IDOL. I am obsessed with the hunger games!!!!!!! I love it so much from the interesting characters like empowering katniss to the dystopian tale of future north America panem. I think jennifer lawrence is going to be a great katniss she is perfect for the part and josh hutcherson he’s the perfect peeta. TEAM peeta all the way!!!!!

  39. I am in love with the series and the characters in them. The actors and director seem phenomenal and I just can’t wait to see how it all comes together! It really seems like a movie made by fans as they said.

  40. I am looking forward to the movie because I think it is one of those rare stories that is compact enough to be fully told in film without losing the feelings the book evokes.

  41. I am looking foward to the movie because the book was so great and i love how it was told and also i want to see more of peeta because in the trailers he is so cute 🙂

  42. I’m loooking forward to the Hunger Games Movie because I first started to read The First and Second book in 2009, Then In waited and waited for almost a year and then Mockingjay came out, Im in LOVE with these books. The characters are realistic, they have flaws and troubles unlike some other characters in other books and that this book isnt another story that is mainly a love story like the story With Bella and her Sparkly Boyfriend Thats what all the books out are about now!Except for this one:). Susan is by far my favorite author, I used to be obsessed with Harry Potter, Goodbye Harry Potter and Hello Hunger Games! Im SUPER EXCITED To see these books finally come to life on the big screen and I think they picked the perfect actors to play in the movie! Ive seen Josh in all his movies , I loved Jen in the Winter’s Bone she was great in that movie<3 and the other acotrs too:)

  43. I honestly can’t wait to see Katniss in full-on games ‘mode’. The trailers so far have shown her emotional, which is great, but I can’t wait to see that hunter instinct kick in in the arena, and see how they manage the deaths.

I’ve heard it’s not gory, but still terrifying, which should make for some fantastic cinematography.

  44. It’s hard to say why i’m most looking forward to this movie since i have been looking forward to it for so long. I wanted it to be done before they had even started casting. I was obseesed with the series and still am which i think speaks to how wonderful the books are because i read a fair amount. I think i just cant wait to see how everything translated to the big screen and how much of it matches up to my imagination. Especially the capitol in general, ive reimagined it so many times in my head it’ll be amazing to see a clear picture of it.

  45. I am definately looking forward to the movie!!!!! I have never read anything nearly as compelling as the hunger games was to me (and probably to many others as well). I have read the books 3 times each so far (still reading…) and ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  46. I have had a hard time getting my hands on the books, but i knew after i read the 1st one (which i had just gotten) that i would go through any lengths to get my hands on them, and when i did, i would never let go (so i owe the library quite a bit of money (;…not giving back mockingjay until i have memorized it!). All my friends call me an obsessive, compulsive freak because every time the trailer/commercial comes on, i feel like i have a ton of caffine in by blood and i have to run around to calm myself down. Winning this would mean the world to me; i am THE BIGGEST HUNGER GAMES FAN…EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Suzanne Collins is my role model and my idol and my hero. Sometimes, we do not know what we are missing because we have never known it and that’s how i feel about the hunger games. Now, after reading them numerous times, i cannot even begin to imagine life without them. (Whenever i mention that to my friends, they say that i might be normal again…) Anyways, i would be above honored to win the giveaway. Thank you for your time and consideration.

  47. I’m looking forward to this movie because; the book has amazing symbolism and is an amazing story!!!
