As readers and fans of the The Hunger Games books are gearing up for the movie coming out March 23rd, GeekMom has a giveaway, courtesy of Lionsgate, to help your preparations.

Included in the package is:

– 1 Softcover book of The Hunger Games
– 1 Hunger Games pin
– 3 Mini posters (Katniss, stadium, final)
– 1 Trading card pack
1 Copy of the soundtrack

The last one really caught my eye. Given the trailers for the movie, the soundtrack looks absolutely killer.

We’ll announce the winner next Monday.

ETA: The winner was announced on Monday, March 19th. The contest is now closed.

  1. Perhaps seeing the movie will convince me to take some time out to read a real book again…

  2. I’m looking forward to the movie because I want to “see” the amazingly strong, brave, and complex Katniss in action!

    1. @Peggy Chandler You should definately read the books. They will no doubt convince you to see the movie. THEY ARE AMAZING!

  3. I am looking forward to the movie because Rue is my idol. At the Training Center, she has a sort of shy aroma surrounding her as she follows Katniss and Peeta around, and Katniss soon learns that. She is clever and intelligent. I do not think that Lionsgate could have done a better job casting for Rue (as far as apperence) because Amandla looks exactly how i pictured her. As far as acting goes, i’m sure she will do and extraordinary job. Thank you for your time looking over this and considering me for the prize. (For further detail why i am looking forward to the movie see previous posts.)

  4. I’m looking forward to the movie, because the book is simply amazing… And the movie seems faithful to the book, so it will be awesome for sure.
I want to see for once, a strong female lead on a big movie. Katniss is such a strong person, and she’s one of the most great female character leads ever.

  5. I am looking forward to going to this movie because my daughter wants to see it so much, and she has me wrapped around her little finger. 🙂

On a more personal level, I have always enjoyed post-apocalyptic movies, ever since ‘The Omega Man’ first came out. This looks like it will be a great addition to the genre.

  6. I have not read books so I am not sure what movie is about. Seen some previews and it looks very interesting. I really want to read book before seeing though

  7. Both my Kids are almost finished reading the book, looking forward to seeing the movie with them..

  8. I’m looking forward to seeing the on screen realationship between Katniss and Peeta, and finding out if it is how i imagined..

  10. I’m really looking forward to the movie because Katniss is a lot of what I want to be. I think it would be awesome to see more than what I’ve imagined.

  11. I’m really looking forward to the movie because, it was all that i dreamed when i first read the book. i taught to my self , there should really be a movie out, and poof next year it came. now i am super excited and i got all my friends to join my excitement (:

  12. I almost never read book series, but I just had to read The Hunger Games. I was glued to the book since day one and can’t wait to see how the movie turns out on Friday. I am excited to see the book come to life! 🙂

  13. I’m looking forward to the movies because I really enjoyed the books! I mean that’s reason enough for me especially if they use wonderful actors and actresses to play these emotionally driven characters. Plus the setting, based on the trailers, are spot on to how I imagined it.
