Free Geeky Holiday Music For Your Enjoyment

Geek Culture

This is the time of the year when we hear an endless stream of holiday songs. We all have our favorites. But if you are like me and enjoy things that are a little less traditional, especially things that have a geeky twist, then I have a few non-traditional holiday songs for your enjoyment. All of them are free to download.

The first of these is actually an LP from GeekDad, John Anealio. The LP is titled Seasons Geekings. Contained in the album are four tracks:

  1. Batman Smells (A Rebuttal)
  2. The Millennium Falcon For Christmas
  3. Winter Day
  4. Is A Chupacabra Kosher?

You can listen to and download this album, for free, here.

The next holiday song I want to bring your attention to is from independent musician Jason Morris. He wrote this song as part of a special Masters of Song Fu holiday challenge. The challenge was to create a brand new character for the holiday season, and write a holiday song for him/her/it. Jason’s contribution is one of the best things I’ve ever heard: Twangles, The Christmas Squid.

Like John Anealio, Jason Morris has a bit of a Coulton-esque sound to his music. You can download Twangles, The Christmas Squid here by ‘right-click, save link as’.

What are your favorite non-traditional holiday songs, geeky or otherwise?
