Okay. Our faithful GeekDad readers get an early look into the Tron:Legacy takeover of disney.com before anyone else. Today, December 16, 2010, Tron breaks through the Disney homepage to reveal exclusive Tron: Legacy downloads, games, videos and more.

Here’s a peek:

But the best part is going to the Tron:Legacy site. Once the Flash loads, you can ride a light cycle through the Tron universe, play disc battle (both single player and multi-player), get info on the characters, view images, get downloads or see videos.

For the young ones…

  • You’ve got the Tron: Legacy Digital Painter. Using a mouse you can draw neon lines, stamp light cycles, type a message and then print out your masterpiece.
  • If you and your kids are into crafts, there are cut-outs, coloring pages, door hangers and more.
  • If you want Tron-themed snacks, Disney Family has recipes for light cycle cookies and a Tron-themed cake.

There are some great games, too…

  • For those of us old enough to remember the original Tron movie (when it came out in theaters) and the game consoles in the arcades, you can relive those gaming memories…just without the rolls of quarters.
  • For those wanting a challenge trying out games related to Tron:Legacy you’re also covered with updated disc battles and light cycle games. This GeekDad’s sons can’t wait to play these.

If you want downloads…

If you want info…

  • There’s info on the characters
  • There’s info on the sound track from Daft Punk
  • There’s news on the weapons, vehicles, and locations in the movie
  • You can put in your zip code and find the closest locations for midnight showings and links to buy tickets.

I got to see an early-release version of the site, and all I can say is I can’t wait for the full release of the site and then the movie when it comes out.
