Cross-stitch samplers have been around almost as long as little girls have been encouraged to practice their handicraft skills. The earliest known sampler was done by Loara Standish, the daughter of Captain Myles Standish, around 1653. Today’s internet-savvy cross-stitcher, though, may want to go in a slightly different direction. Crafter Sailor Coruscant executed this internet sampler, complete with <3s, emoticons, a keyboard layout and many other internet-related features. It is based on a pattern by a LiveJournal user named Gnat.
