Intel ISEF2008: Transparent Encryption

Geek Culture

Another report from the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta.  This video shows John "Billy" Dorminy with his project titled "Creating a Better Transparent Encryption Device." Take a look in the Extended Post.

This one’s a little longer than the others, but Billy has a lot to explain, and it’s really, really good stuff.

Somebody call the EFF – they either need to hire Billy, or plan on defending him in court someday!  And if Cory Doctorow’s still reading this blog, I think we’ve found the protagonist for your next story.  I mean, give Billy a little VC funding and he’s one government contract away from fame and fortune.

Thanks to Intel for bringing me to this great event!
