This was a three-issue short story arc where the first and foremost character is not Edward Grey.
Avalon, the primal England, is being fought over in a terrible battle. Witchfinder Ed Grey is the green warrior, summoned by Alice, to defend her and England against Morgan Le Fay and her champion: Gruagach of Lough Leane.
It seems Morgan is not doing this to fight. As the epic battle takes place and we see blood, hurt, sap, and force clash again and again, we start to have a small suspicion about the meaning of this particular clash of the wills.
The green Ed Grey, turned into a green sprite, locked in arms with dark Gruagach, has the hope to win, and perhaps he will win, but who will turn out to be the ultimate victor in the story of their life?
