Keep Your Phone Charged With MagSafe Power Banks by TORRAS

Gadgets Products Reviews

It seems like I am always having to recharge my phone, especially after long FaceTime calls with my children and grandchildren. During a recent visit to Disneyland, it seemed like our family was passing around power banks and cords all the time to keep everyone’s phones powered. However, such problems may be a thing of the past as I have recently had the opportunity to try the new MagSafe Power Banks by TORRAS.

What Is a MagSafe Power Bank?

The MagSafe Power Banks are one of the latest products by TORRAS. Unlike most power banks that plug into your phone with a charging cable, the MagSafe Power Banks actually connect magnetically. The MagSafe Power Banks come in blacken aluminum or whiten aluminum and are now available from the TORRAS store on Amazon. The 5,000 mAh model sells for $59.99, while the 10,000 mAh power bank sells for $79.99.

  • MagSafe Power Bank
  • USB-C charging cable
  • User manual

How to Use the MagSafe Power Banks

The MagSafe Power Banks are extremely easy to use. Just place them along the back of a MagSafe-compatible phone and it will magnetically attach. The power bank will automatically start charging the phone. Some phones or devices may require the power button to be pressed to begin charging. The rotatable ring stand can be opened up to 120° and rotated 360°, allowing the power bank to also be used as a stand for your phone. If you only want to use it as a stand and not to charge your phone, just press the button on the power bank twice to deactivate the charging feature.

The power banks can also be used for wired charging and can charge two devices at once, one wired and one wirelessly. In addition to phones, you can also use this product to charge earbuds and other devices.  Lights located below the ring stand indicate the power level of the power bank. In order to charge the power banks, just connect them with the included charging cable to a USB-C port. The lights will all be lit and stop blinking once it is fully charged.

The MagSafe Power Banks can charge with 15W for wireless charging and 20W for wired charging. If charging two devices, it will charge at 5W for wireless and 10W for wired. The 5,000 mAh model is only 0.45 inches thick and weighs 4.6 ounces, while the 10,000 mAh version is .65 inches thick and weighs 7.23 ounces. Both are made of graphene material for faster charging with lower temperatures.

Why You Should Get the MagSafe Power Banks

I have used other devices by TORRAS including the COOLiFY 2S and the COOLiFY Zone and have been impressed by both of them. Therefore, I was excited to try out their new MagSafe power banks. TORRAS is known for making a variety of phone cases for both iPhone and Samsung as well as phone accessories, and several of their cases include MagSafe features that allow phones to still connect to MagSafe accessories even with the case on. I am very impressed with the ease of use of the TORRAS MagSafe Power Banks. My iPhone begins charging automatically as soon as it is attached and it has a strong magnet so the power bank is not going to fall off.

Since the power banks are fairly thin, they fit in a pocket easily even when attached to a phone. Furthermore, the rotatable ring stand is very adjustable so you can use the power banks to hold your phone in a variety of positions. It also makes it easier to hold on to the phone, such as when taking selfies. Finally, I am impressed that while it gets a bit warm when charging, it does not heat up like some power banks. After using it on my own phones, I recommend the TORRAS MagSafe Power Banks as a great way to keep your phone charged without having to attach it to a bulky power bank with a cord.
