I’ve recently stumbled upon the most adorable picture books for preschoolers. The Tinyville series by Brian Biggs is a wonderful first introduction to communities and careers.

*Disclosure: I received these books at no cost. I was not required to write a review, nor was I compensated. As always, I only share products and resources that I would use with my own family and those that I believe other families would enjoy.
Delight Preschoolers with Tinyville Town
When my kids were younger, they loved to read picture books about cities and towns and cars and trucks and careers. We spent hours pouring over Richard Scarry’s Busytown and any book by Byron Barton. We have a well-loved Day with Firefighters that I still cannot part with. Its binding has been taped so many times it’s a wonder it hasn’t disintegrated.
I can tell you that, without a doubt, my children would have loved this series a few years ago. I know this because their eyes lit up when it arrived on our doorstep. My oldest said, “Isn’t that for babies?” but lo and behold they listened with bated breath as I read each book aloud.
It was as if we were transported back in time, and it was wonderful.
(And I even caught my daughter rereading the series later on that day.)
Our homeschool routine is built upon carefully selected books and high-quality educational games, and so this warmed my heart.

If you are the parent of a preschooler who loves all things community and career, these books would make a wonderful addition to your library tote:
- Tinyville Town Gets to Work! by Brian Biggs
- Tinyville Town: I’m a Veterinarian by Brian Biggs
- Tinyville Town: I’m a Firefighter by Brian Biggs
If you like what you see here, stay tuned because Tinyville Town: I’m a Librarian by Brian Biggs is scheduled to be released on March 7, 2017.
Now, it’s your turn. Tell me: What book has transported you back in time lately? Share here!
