Yesterday saw yet another surprising (but ultimately cool) announcement from Nintendo of America, one on-par with other recent reveals like the upcoming hybrid console/handheld Switch system and the wholly unexpected but instantly adored NES Classic Edition. Starting next January, Nintendo and escape room innovator SCRAP will join forces to “create a unique multi-city Puzzle Tour inspired by The Legend of Zelda series.”
Dubbed the Defenders of the Triforce Puzzle Tour, this event is currently confirmed to visit 8 cities across the country, and tickets for the earliest dates are already available. While details are still scarce, we do know that Defenders of the Triforce will challenge multiple 6-person teams to solve Zelda-themed puzzles within a vast shared event space. Afterwards, they can then enter a separate promotional lounge to enjoy epic photo ops and purchase exclusive merch.
