Gameroom Junkies #65: ‘Shroud of the Avatar’ with Richard Garriott at Dragon Con

Gameroom Junkies Podcast Episode 65 - Richard Garriott and Shroud of the Avatar

In this special episode, the Gameroom Junkies head to Dragon Con in Atlanta, Georgia to cover the gaming scene of this internationally known pop culture convention featuring over 3,500 hours of comics, film, television, costuming, art, music, and gaming over four days.  While attending the convention, Patrick sat down for a quick interview with Richard “Lord British” Garriott.  A titan in the video gaming industry (as well as a private astronaut!), Mr. Garriott is best known as the creator of the classic adventure gaming series, Ultima.  In this this interview recorded over Labor Day weekend, he describes how he became interested in gaming, his favorite classic games, the origins of Ultima, and his latest adventure game creation- Shroud of the Avatar.  Enjoy and look for more Dragon Con coverage in a future episode!
