The next stop for Level-5’s mammoth Yo-kai Watch franchise looks to be as close as your smartphone. Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble is a free-to-play RPG/puzzler hybrid–think Pokémon Shuffle–featuring Jibanyan, Komasan, Whisper, and the rest as they continue to defend Springdale by defeating other mischevious spirits. This time, however, you battle by connecting matching Yo-kai icons called Wib Wob… for… reasons?
It looks to be a fun, fluid, frantic take on the classic match-three, and, given my kids’ penchant for all things Yo-kai Watch, I imagine we’ll be spending lots of time with the title when it drops for both iOS and Android in the U.S., Canada, and Australia on March 24.
