This coming Sunday morning, March 13, Disney XD will feature a slate of Marvel cartoons that promises to be even more awesome than usual. Not only is it the season premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution, but it also features new episodes of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6 with some excellent guest voice talent.
It kicks off at 8:00am Eastern/Pacific (don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00am Sunday) with Guardians of the Galaxy, which guest stars the voice of Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek fame as J’Son, the king of the Spartaxian Galactic Empire. In keeping with the music from the movie, the episode’s title is “Don’t Stop Believin'” – yes, exactly like the Journey song, down to the final apostrophe.
At 8:30am Eastern/Pacific is the season premiere of Avengers: Ultron Revolution, an episode titled “Adapting to Change,” which is officially described thusly:
The Avengers learn what it’s like to work as a team again as they battle AIM’s latest weapon – a new and improved Super Adaptoid developed by the Scientist Supreme!
Here’s an exclusive clip from this episode!
And finally, at 9:00am Eastern/Pacific, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge will provide guest voices for their characters of Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six. The episode is titled “Lizards,” but despite that has this official description:
Vulture’s revelation that Doc Ock has a spy inside S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy leads the Web Warriors on a hunt to find the mole.
So, just to go over that again, this episode seems to feature lizards of some kind, villains who style themselves after a vulture and an octopus, and a figurative mole. That sounds like quite a menagerie.
So either wake up early or set your DVR, because these three episodes sound like they’re going to be a lot of fun. The episodes will air from 8:00am until 9:30am Eastern/Pacific on Disney XD.
