Hot on yesterday’s latest images for the upcoming Ghostbusters movie, we have the first official LEGO set reveal!
Yup, it looks like good ol’ Ecto-1 is back and in proper hearse form! This set really captures the updated Ecto-1; but still retains a lot of similarities to the original Ghostbusters Ecto-1 set. I haven’t had the pleasure of building the original set yet; but I’m excited to see you can cram all the figures into the vehicle! It even comes with Ecto-2 for all your off-road ghostbustin’ action.
Thankfully, unlike so many movie sets nowadays, you’re getting the full cast with this set (with a ghost to bust, of course). Plus, in addition to the Ghostbusting-gals themselves, you get their nerdy secretary, Kevin (who looks like he’ll be suiting up at some point – it’s good to see Hemsworth finally get an action role and not just show up as eye candy). They are absolutely adorable and somehow manage to perfectly capture the characters – I don’t know what kind of voodoo magic LEGO artists perform to be so accurate; but it’s scary powerful.
Check below for the full details on the set and click through the gallery for some hints at a possible plot development (if you’re avoiding all spoilers, don’t read past the first three bullets or look at the last pic)!
