Star Wars: The Force Awakens is kind of a big deal. Have you heard about it? The film doesn’t come out until December, but the toys and other related merchandise are now officially beginning to drop.
Welcome, Force Friday – perhaps the biggest marketing gimmick since the months leading up to The Phantom Menace in 1999 (and if that doesn’t worry you, it should).
Many retailers and companies are taking part of the Force Friday marketing event and the other lead-up events – most notably the 18-hour unboxing livestream on YouTube.
Among them, of course, is LEGO. And today they’ve released the first official images of one of the new sets from The Force Awakens: Poe’s X-Wing Fighter.
Coming in at 717 pieces, this is one of the largest sets in the new line. And I have to say – it’s really all kinds of beautiful.
And the BB-8 minifigure makes it all worth it, whatever the price tag ends up being.
The LEGO Twitter feed has also been sending out photos of the entire new line. Check there for the latest!
