Calamityware Plate volcano

Just a quick heads up: Don Moyer, designer of the Calamityware plates, revealed his latest design last week. A volcano!

In case you’re unfamiliar with Calamityware, it’s a series of traditional-looking blue dinner plates, but each design depicts a disaster of some sort: flying monkeys, giant sea monsters, pirates, and so on. Besides the erupting volcano in the background, you can spot lots of little details scattered throughout the illustration and the border if you look carefully.

Since writing up the pirate plate last month, I received a set of the Series 1 plates to see them for myself, and they’re fantastic. They’re great for serving cookies at game night or a fancy dinner with a side of humor, and I’m looking forward to using them often.

Moyer has had a great track record of getting his plates and his BADBandanas produced and delivered quickly, so you can back with confidence. And be on the lookout for the next two designs–tentacles and a vortex of doom–launching later this year.
