How to Help Peter David

I met Peter David at FenCon in Dallas last September where he was the Toastmaster. He was everything a small con toastmaster should be: witty, irreverent, funny, absurd, and generally hilarious. He’s on my list of people I’m very glad to have met, and hope to meet again when we have more time to talk.

As you may know, David suffered a stroke at the end of December. Corrina Lawson wrote up a great article at the time if you aren’t familiar with the details. You can read it here: Wishing Writer Peter David a Full Recovery.

Recently, David’s wife, Kathleen, posted a public reply to all the fans on how they can best help. They are accepting donations through Hero Initiative, but would prefer that fans go buy David’s e-books. They are available from Crazy 8 Press, Amazon, or comiXology. It sounds like he gets the most royalties through Crazy 8, but If you’re buying from Amazon, use this link so David gets the Amazon commission too.

You can read Kath’s article on David’s blog here: How You Can Help Peter David Recover. If you’d rather donate cash, the Hero Initiative link is on her post.
