Stab Your Buddy! This Week’s Tabletop Features Munchkin, and Steve Jackson Himself

Geek Culture

Steve Jackson Games’ Munchkin is a card game good for at least three players. It started out as a very funny paring-down of standard Dungeons & Dragons open-the-door, kill-the-monster, loot-the-room routine, but quickly grew into a system that’s been applied to such themes as spies, superheroes, the Old West, zombies, and Cthulhu.

It’s a terrific game that we’re very fond of here on GeekDad, and not just because our favorite artist John Kovalic has done the art for nearly everything in and related to the game. Though that helps. In any case, enjoy the video, in which Tabletop host Wil Wheaton plays Munchkin with geek icon (and Geek & Sundry founder) Felicia Day, The Guild actor Sandeep Parikh, and Steve Jackson himself — who is only the guy who designed the game in the first place. Will Wil finally win a game in his own web series? Watch and find out!
