Three years ago GeekDad Ken and I, more or less on a lark, decided it might be fun to try to pull off a massive holiday giveaway. And pull it off we did. In fact, the reader response was so favorable that we decided to make the 12 Days of Geekmas an annual event. And the truth is –- while I don’t deny that it’s an enormous undertaking that really eats into our already meager free time –- we actually have a lot of fun with it as well.
The giveaways have changed over time, and the prizes have gotten progressively more extravagant every year. This year is no exception, and even the first couple of days, which we always describe as “starting small,” feature some high-caliber swag. This is thanks in big part to our sponsor, Philips.
I could go on, I suppose, about the other amazing prizes from ThinkGeek and 604 Republic, Logitech and Hasbro — among others — but I won’t. I will instead simply remind you to keep a keen eye on GeekDad beginning next Monday as we kick off our fourth annual 12 Days of Geekmas celebration.
