Dip N’ Flip With the Flannery Brothers

Geek Culture People

Dip N' FlipDip N' FlipIt’s cold weather time again for many of us in the Northern Hemisphere, and that means GeekMoms and GeekDads are even now reminding their brood to throw on a coat or jacket before playing outside. For me, at least, such a prompting typically results in an impromptu wrestling match between my 3-year-old daughter and her outerwear.

‘Tis truly a rough season for those with short arms and still burgeoning motor skills!

With that very thing in mind, New England-based kindie rockers the Flannery Brothers are presently launching a musical campaign to help youngsters learn an easy way to dress season-appropriate using the classic dip-and-flip technique. Inspired by Dan Flannery’s work as a pre-school teacher, their new track – entitled, perhaps unsurprisingly, “The Dip N’ Flip” – is all about putting on jackets, but the song is still missing something: audience participation.

The guys are asking that kids (and parents) submit brief video clips of their own jacket flip tricks to be assembled into the song’s forthcoming music video. For more information, please visit the project’s official site. And in the meantime, let the Flannery Brothers show you how it’s done.
