Lego Announces Back-to-School Contest for Educators

Geek Culture

If you are a classroom teacher, home school instructor or after school program director, Lego Education wants to give you $5,000. As kids and teachers say “so long” to summer and head back to schools, the behemoth of brick has announced the 2011 Lego Smart Creativity Contest. Just register and upload a video that shows, in 150 seconds or less, how you use Lego Education solutions to encourage student innovation.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a $5,000 certificate toward Lego Education products and segment winners will receive certificates for $2,500. All contest winners will also receive an all-expense trip to the Lego Education STEM summit in Stalouis on November 16 this year. Additionally, the first 8,000 public and private school contestants and the first 2,000 home school contestants will receive a free Lego Smart Kit.

For more information, specific rules and a how-to guide, see the contest Web site.
