A followup to the Monday GeekDad post (Atlantis to Rise on STS-129: Houston, We’ve Had A Baby) on Astronaut Randy Bresnik and his wife, Rebeccca, who was expected to deliver a baby while Randy was in space supporting the STS-129 mission to the International Space Station. It’s a girl! Abigail Bresnik was born at 11:04 pm central time last night just after another big first for the Astronaut, his first space walk. From NASA:
Space shuttle Atlantis Mission Specialist Randy Bresnik is a new father.
At 5:14 a.m. CST, Bresnik called Mission Control and announced the birth of his daughter. Abigail Mae Bresnik arrived at 11:04 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 in Houston, TX. From all of us at GeekDad, congratulations to the Bresnik family!
