Geek Culture

It was earlier this week that Ricardo Montalban passed away.  While the Khaaaan! meme has been around a while, it took on a new dimension this week when Google was used to count the number of times the letter ‘A’ was used in the word ‘Khan’ – from 1 to 100.  Formula is in the title of the graphic.

Found via Boing Boing, the Flickr page for this is where it gets fun.  Why?

  • the person released the data set for his graph in comments
  • the graph is now already out of date
  • commenters have suggested cron jobs that would automate and update the graph on a daily basis.

Quick… is still available. You just might be sitting on a goldmine.
