1.4 Gigapixel Image of the Inauguration Shows the Day in Amazing Detail

On January 20th, 2009, photographer David Bergman took an amazing picture. Using a robotic camera mount called Gigapan, he stitched together 220 separate high-resolution images of the inauguration of President Barack Obama, capturing a moment of history in amazing, even profound, detail.
