Admit it, the best part of being a GeekDad is having a ready excuse to enjoy the things you never outgrew. Well here’s a whole museum of things for your kids (and you) to enjoy: the Strong National Museum of Play!

Strong National Museum of PlayStrong National Museum of Play

The Strong Museum has been a Rochester, New York landmark since 1982. In 2006 the museum completed extensive renovations and reopened as the Strong National Museum of Play. It houses such exhibits as the Sesame Street re-creation, the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden, the Cyberchase math exhibit, and the National Toy Hall of Fame. (Which includes GeekDad favorites like the Slinky, Tinkertoys, and Legos.)

If you’re an upstate New York local or are just passing through, make some time for the Strong National Museum of Play. Like us GeekDads, they take play seriously!
