One of the solutions to the constant destruction of radio controlled planes by kids learning to fly them is to make them cheap to destroy. For $5 worth of insulation foam you can make a flying delta. Add the usual RC aviation electronics and you have a cheap, fast, sturdy and disposable RC plane.
A guy called The Hobby Guy has worked out some plans for making a flying wing using 1/4 inch bluecore construction foam and packaging tape. You can also use coroplast, which is the corrugated plastic they use for signs. That is, you can use an old sign. We got plenty after the last local election.
