Artist Rosemarie Fiore has created a Spirograph on Geekdad scale. If you were ever engaged by the Spirograph drawing toy as a kid (and even if you weren’t), you will be enthralled by what Fiore has done. The mere fact that she turned a spinning amusement park ride into a painting machine is one for the books. But the rig she used to apply the paint is right out of the mecha-geek DIY manual:
I connected a gas generator and air compressor to buckets of paint and secured them into the seats of a Scrambler amusement park ride. Once the ride was in motion, paint sprayed out of the benches onto vinyl tarps placed underneath.
