Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: The Ghost Ships of Labrador # 2 by Writer: Mike Mignola, Rob Williams Artist: Laurence Campbell Colorist: Lee Loughridge Cover Artist: Laurence Campbell

Every time I see a bird behind bars in a movie, or crude images of 19th-century whale fishing, I cannot help but wonder what future humans will think of us and our casual cruelty towards fellow humans and the animal kingdom.

Whaling ships are meant to roam the sea as bloody remnants of what they truly were. And now one such giant ghost ship has swallowed Hellboy, plunging him into the abyss.

However, Agatha Blunt is there, and she can reach Hellboy to the dark realm he has fallen into, and help him fight the fearsome captain that is hunting all the ghosts at Labrador.

Abe sapiens, turns out, doesn’t do much on this issue. He is there as backup. Not that Hewllboy won’t appreciate him once he surfaces from the bowels of the ship, having seen all the whale souls the ship has devoured over time. May humans and whales rest peacefully after this!
