With the Black Panther film making all the money and ruling the cultural zeitgeist this February, folks are looking for ways into Wakanda beyond the scope of the film. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Evan Narcisse, writer of Marvel’s Rise of the Black Panther series. During our discussion, we talked about the stories that influenced Evan, how his experience as a pop culture critic translates to telling this story in this medium, and his approaches to fleshing out Wakanda and those characters closest to her kings.
