The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History unveiled their newly renovated second floor wing with a custom, nine-foot-tall LEGO Statue of Liberty (that’s more than 300 bricks tall). The grand opening was this past Wednesday, June 28th, and the wing has two new exhibits for their 2017 theme, “The Nation We Build Together.”
It’s a divisive time in America right now, but I think we can all enjoy a little hypnotic time lapse of Lady Liberty being built to help with the July 4th spirit.
The finished statue took 292 hours to design and build, and it weighs 125 pounds.
