What if you could control stuff around your house like using the Force? Well, the Echo Dot lets you do pretty much that. We just picked one up just like this, and within an hour of setting it up, we had it turning our backyard gazebo lights on and off, controlling our home entertainment center via the Harmony Hub we already had, and managing our Nest thermostat to boot. We picked the Dot because we already had a nice JBL Pulse 2 speaker we could connect it to. Setup was really easy, and it hears voices and responds amazingly well. You should think about getting one yourself, and saving a little money, by picking up a refurbed unit for just $38 today!
